PLEASE REVIEW THIS POLICY CAREFULLY

This Privacy Policy describes how Arielle Jones LLC (“Arielle Jones LLC,” “I,” “me,” or “my”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information in connection with my websites, products, services, memberships, online courses, client portals, digital resources, and AI-assisted tools.

This Policy applies to www.ariellejones.com and its subdomains, websites and applications operated by or on behalf of Arielle Jones LLC, membership experiences hosted through third-party platforms such as Teachery, interactive resources including the Backstage Pass toolkit, and other services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Sites” or “Services”).

This Policy also describes information collected when you communicate with me through email, online forms, social media, client management platforms, or other business-related channels.

Third-party websites and platforms may have their own privacy policies governing their independent collection and use of information.

Please review this Privacy Policy along with my applicable Terms and Conditions of Use. If you have questions, you may contact me at hello@ariellejones.com.

By accessing or using my Services, you acknowledge that you have been provided access to this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires your consent for particular processing activities, I will request that consent separately.

COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

I collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, information generated through your use of my products and Services, information received from service providers, and certain technical information collected automatically when you interact with my Sites.

The specific information collected depends on how you interact with my business.

Contact and Business Information

When you contact me, subscribe to my email list, complete a questionnaire, request services, or otherwise communicate with my business, I may collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, website, mailing address, time zone, referral information, and other information you voluntarily provide.

Purchases, Memberships, and Account Information

When you purchase a product or service, enroll in a course or membership, or access digital resources, I may collect information relating to your purchase, subscription, membership status, enrollment, transaction history, and account preferences.

I use third-party platforms, including Teachery, ThriveCart, and Kit (formerly ConvertKit), to help administer products, membership access, transactions, and related communications.

Certain interactive tools use passwordless authentication through one-time links sent to your email address. These tools may collect your first and last name, email address, account preferences, and membership eligibility information.

Client and Project Information

When you work with me as a client, I may collect information you provide through contracts, questionnaires, forms, emails, meetings, client portals, or project management systems.

This information may include business plans, goals, financial or budget information, documents, project details, and other information reasonably necessary to provide requested services.

I may use platforms including Dubsado and Kitchen.co to manage client relationships, communications, documents, and project information.

Information Submitted to Interactive and AI-Assisted Tools

Certain digital resources, including the Backstage Pass toolkit, allow you to submit information to generate customized planning materials and other resources.

Depending on the tool, this information may include event names, dates, event formats, guest counts, event types, speakers, sponsors, budgets, vendor information, team members' names, business plans, planning preferences, guest descriptions, survey responses, and other answers you provide.

I may store information you enter, the generated results, and previously saved versions of those results so that you can return to and manage your work.

Some tools are designed to remove email addresses and phone numbers from particular submitted content. However, these features may not identify or remove every piece of personal information. You should avoid including guest names, contact details, confidential information, or unnecessary personal information belonging to other individuals.

Usage and Technical Information

When you visit my Sites or access my Services, certain information may be collected automatically, including IP addresses, browser and device information, operating system, access times, referring websites, and technical information necessary to operate the Services.

Certain digital tools also record which features you use and when you use them. This information may be used to maintain the Services, troubleshoot technical problems, monitor usage, detect unusually heavy activity, and prevent misuse.

The Backstage Pass toolkit records tool runs and may generate an administrative alert when a member runs more than 20 tools in one day.

Communications and Marketing Information

If you subscribe to my email list or communicate with me, I may collect your email address, communication preferences, and information relating to email engagement, such as opens or clicks where those features are enabled.

I may use Kit and other communication services to deliver newsletters, educational content, promotional messages, membership communications, and other business-related information.

Payment Information

Purchases and subscription payments are processed through third-party checkout and payment platforms, which may include ThriveCart and connected payment processors such as Stripe.

These providers process payment details in accordance with their applicable privacy and security practices. I may receive transaction records, payment status, billing information, and other information reasonably necessary to administer purchases, refunds, subscriptions, and financial records.

Information About Other Individuals

If you submit information about guests, clients, vendors, employees, contractors, or other individuals, you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate legal basis or permission to provide that information.

Please limit submitted information to what is necessary for the relevant Service and avoid entering sensitive or confidential personal information unless expressly requested through an appropriate channel.

You may choose not to provide certain information, but doing so may limit your ability to access particular Services or features.

INTERNATIONAL PRIVACY LAWS AND YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE GDPR

I operate an online business that may serve individuals in multiple countries. Depending on your location, the location of my business, and the nature of our relationship, certain privacy laws, including the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent laws, may apply to the processing of your personal information.

Legal Bases for Processing

Where the GDPR applies, I process personal information only where an appropriate legal basis exists. Depending on the circumstances, those bases may include:

  • Performance of a Contract: To provide products, memberships, services, account access, client work, and digital tools you request or purchase.

  • Legitimate Interests: To operate and improve my business, maintain security, troubleshoot technical issues, prevent misuse, manage client relationships, and administer my Services, where those interests are not overridden by your applicable rights and freedoms.

  • Consent: Where required, including for certain marketing communications, cookies, or other optional processing activities.

  • Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable tax, accounting, legal, regulatory, and other requirements.

Where I rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

International Data Transfers

I use third-party platforms that may store, access, or process personal information in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and other locations where my providers operate.

For example, the Backstage Pass toolkit uses Supabase infrastructure hosted in the Americas region. Other providers may process information in different countries depending on their services and infrastructure.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, I will use an appropriate transfer mechanism, which may include an adequacy decision, applicable Standard Contractual Clauses, or another legally recognized mechanism.

Your Privacy Rights

Where applicable law provides these rights, you may request:

  • Access to personal information I hold about you.

  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

  • Deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable exceptions.

  • Restriction of certain processing activities.

  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests, including objection to direct marketing.

  • Portability of certain information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.

  • Withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.

You may also have rights concerning decisions made solely through automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

You may exercise applicable rights by contacting hello@ariellejones.com.

I may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before responding to a request. I will respond within the period required by applicable law. Where the GDPR applies, this generally means within one month of receiving your request, subject to permitted extensions.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with an appropriate data protection supervisory authority.

Data Controller Information

For personal information processed in connection with the operation of my business, Arielle Jones LLC generally acts as the data controller, except where the nature of the services or applicable contractual arrangements establishes a different role.

COOKIES: WHAT THEY ARE, AND WHY THEY ARE NEEDED.

My Sites and Services may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies to operate websites, maintain account sessions, remember preferences, process transactions, provide membership access, and understand how visitors interact with certain Services.

Cookies are small files that a website may place on your browser or device. Other technologies, including local browser storage, may also be used to retain settings or information necessary for particular features.

Website and Third-Party Platform Technologies

Depending on the website or Service you visit, third-party platforms such as Teachery, ThriveCart, Kit, and other service providers may use cookies or similar technologies to provide their services, support account access, process purchases, or measure engagement.

The particular technologies used may vary by platform and configuration.

Backstage Pass Toolkit

The Backstage Pass toolkit does not currently use advertising cookies or analytics tracking.

It does store certain information in your browser, including your sign-in session, the event you last opened, your text size preference, your optional public holiday country selection, and temporary copies of answers while a tool runs.

Temporary copies of answers stored for recovery purposes are removed after the results are successfully saved.

Your Choices

You may be able to control or delete cookies and stored website data through your browser settings. Disabling certain technologies may affect sign-in functionality, account access, saved preferences, or other features.

Where applicable law requires consent for nonessential cookies or similar technologies, I will seek that consent before using them.

Third-party websites and platforms may have their own cookie and privacy practices, which you should review separately.

MY POLICY WITH MINORS.

My Sites, products, memberships, and Services are intended for individuals who are at least 18 years old and are not directed toward children.

I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 18 through my Sites or Services.

If I become aware that I have collected personal information from a child contrary to this Policy or applicable law, I will take appropriate steps to delete the information, subject to any applicable legal obligations.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to me, please contact hello@ariellejones.com.

DATA RETENTION

I retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, provide my products and Services, maintain business records, comply with applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

The length of time information is retained depends on the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, the nature of our relationship, and applicable legal requirements.

Client and Business Records

Information relating to client engagements, purchases, contracts, and business transactions may be retained after our working relationship ends where reasonably necessary for recordkeeping, accounting, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or other lawful purposes.

Membership and Digital Tool Information

Membership account information may be retained while you have an active membership and for a limited period following cancellation.

For interactive digital tools, including the Backstage Pass toolkit, I will retain your account information, saved events, responses, and generated results for up to 90 calendar days following the effective date of your membership cancellation.

During this 90-day period, your information will remain stored, but access to membership-restricted tools and content will be unavailable unless your membership is reactivated.

If you reactivate your membership within the 90-day period, your previously saved information may be available when you regain access.

After the 90-day period, your toolkit account information, saved events, responses, and generated results will be deleted, subject to any applicable legal obligations or other lawful retention requirements.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information before the end of the 90-day period by contacting hello@ariellejones.com.

Membership cancellation does not necessarily result in the deletion of purchase history, transaction records, or other business information that I am legally required or otherwise permitted to retain.

Information You Delete

Certain tools allow you to delete individual saved results or entire events and associated information directly within the applicable tool.

You may also request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting hello@ariellejones.com.

I will process verified deletion requests within the time required by applicable law, subject to any information I am legally entitled or required to retain.

Deletion from an active service does not necessarily result in immediate removal from backup systems or records that must be retained for legitimate legal or compliance purposes.

Marketing Information

I may retain your contact information for marketing communications until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent where applicable, or request deletion, subject to lawful retention requirements.

I may retain limited information necessary to honor your unsubscribe request.

Retention Review

I periodically review the personal information I maintain and take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify information that is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, subject to applicable legal requirements.

USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

I use personal information to operate my business, provide requested products and Services, administer memberships, manage client relationships, communicate with customers, process transactions, and maintain and improve my Sites and Services.

Depending on the nature of our relationship, I may use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries, communicate with you, and provide customer or client support.

  • Deliver purchased products, educational content, memberships, and professional services.

  • Create and administer user accounts, verify membership eligibility, and maintain access to digital resources.

  • Process purchases, subscriptions, renewals, refunds, and related transactions.

  • Manage contracts, projects, documents, and client communications.

  • Send newsletters, educational materials, promotions, and other marketing communications where permitted by law.

  • Generate customized resources and outputs through interactive or AI-assisted tools.

  • Store and retrieve information you choose to save within my digital tools.

  • Monitor use of the Services, troubleshoot issues, protect accounts, and identify potential misuse.

  • Maintain business records and comply with applicable legal obligations.

EMAIL MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

I may use Kit (formerly ConvertKit) and other communication platforms to maintain mailing lists, send emails, manage subscriber preferences, and communicate about my products and Services.

Where required by law, I will obtain your consent before sending marketing communications.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link provided in those communications or by contacting hello@ariellejones.com.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not necessarily prevent you from receiving essential transactional, account-related, membership, purchase, security, or service communications.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

I use third-party platforms to help operate my business and deliver products and Services.

Depending on how you interact with my business, these may include:

  • Teachery: Hosting and delivering membership content, courses, and related educational resources.

  • Kit (formerly ConvertKit): Email marketing, subscriber management, and membership eligibility verification.

  • Dubsado: Client relationship management, forms, workflows, communications, and related business administration.

  • Kitchen.co: Client portals, project information, documents, and related client communications.

  • ThriveCart: Checkout, purchases, subscriptions, and related transaction administration.

  • Stripe and other connected payment processors: Secure payment processing and financial transactions.

  • Zapier and Make: Automating workflows and transferring information between connected business applications.

  • Supabase: Account authentication, database storage, and management of information submitted to certain digital tools.

  • Anthropic: AI-assisted generation of content and results through the Claude API and other applicable services.

  • OpenAI: AI-assisted business activities and services where I use ChatGPT or related offerings.

  • Resend: Delivery of sign-in links and other applicable transactional emails.

  • Netlify: Website and application hosting, including the processing of technical web request information.

  • Nager.Date: Providing public holiday information to certain calendar features using country and year information.

These providers may process personal information on my behalf or, in some circumstances, as independent controllers under their own terms and privacy policies.

The categories of information shared depend on the service being provided. I seek to limit disclosures to information reasonably necessary for the applicable business purpose.

For example, certain membership verification processes may share your email address with Kit to confirm your eligibility and retrieve account information. Interactive planning tools may transmit relevant inputs to an AI service for processing and save resulting content in a database.

Automated workflows through Zapier or Make may transfer information between connected applications, depending on the configuration of the workflow.

Third-party providers may maintain their own data storage, security, and retention practices, subject to applicable agreements and legal obligations.

DISCLOSURES FOR LEGAL AND BUSINESS PURPOSES

I may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights or safety, investigate suspected misconduct, enforce agreements, or defend legal claims.

Information may also be disclosed in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale, restructuring, or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable legal requirements.

SALE AND SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

I do not sell personal information to data brokers or advertisers for monetary compensation.

Certain disclosures or uses of advertising and analytics technologies may qualify as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws, even where no money is exchanged.

AGGREGATED AND DE-IDENTIFIED INFORMATION

I may use aggregated or appropriately de-identified information to understand service usage, evaluate business performance, improve products, and monitor technical functionality.

Where information is genuinely de-identified, I will not intentionally use it to identify individuals except where permitted by applicable law.

THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND LINKS

My Sites and Services may contain links to platforms or websites operated by third parties. Those third parties may collect and process information independently under their own privacy policies.

I encourage you to review the privacy practices of third-party websites and platforms before providing personal information through them.

USE OF INFORMATION WITH AI

Certain products, digital tools, resources, and business operations provided by Arielle Jones LLC incorporate artificial intelligence (“AI”) technologies.

I may use third-party AI providers, including Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI (ChatGPT), to support content generation, research, drafting, planning, business administration, client-related work, and the creation of customized digital resources.

The personal information processed through these services depends on the particular AI tool, the information submitted, and the purpose for which the technology is being used.

AI-Assisted Digital Tools

Certain interactive resources, including the Backstage Pass toolkit, use Anthropic's Claude API to generate customized outputs based on information provided by members.

When you use these tools, relevant event details, responses, and your member name may be transmitted to Anthropic for processing.

The resulting materials may include planning snapshots, timelines, guest portraits, or other resources based on the information submitted.

Submitted information and generated results may also be stored through Supabase so that you can access, review, download, or delete saved content within the toolkit.

Under Anthropic's standard commercial API arrangements, submitted inputs are generally not used to train Anthropic's models by default, subject to applicable terms, settings, and exceptions. This statement should not be interpreted as a guarantee that information is never retained or processed for other permitted purposes.

Other AI-Assisted Business Activities

I may also use AI-assisted services, including ChatGPT and Claude, to support my business operations and the delivery of professional services.

Where I process personal information or client-provided information through AI services, I seek to limit the information shared to what is reasonably necessary and use appropriate privacy and security controls for the nature of the information.

The applicable provider may process submitted information according to its terms, contractual arrangements, product settings, and privacy practices.

Personal Information Submitted to AI Tools

You should avoid submitting sensitive, confidential, or unnecessary personal information into AI-assisted tools, including information that directly identifies guests, clients, employees, or other individuals.

Where you provide information about another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate permission or lawful basis to provide that information.

Some tools may automatically remove particular contact details, such as email addresses or telephone numbers, from submitted text. However, automated filtering may not identify every type of personal information.

AI-Generated Results and Limitations

AI-generated results may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular situation.

Outputs are intended to assist with planning, education, drafting, and decision-making and should not be treated as independently verified facts or a substitute for advice from appropriately qualified professionals.

You should independently confirm important dates, costs, contractual requirements, venue policies, vendor details, and other information before relying on generated materials.

AI Privacy and Security

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information used in connection with AI-assisted services, including limiting unnecessary disclosures and selecting appropriate service configurations where available.

However, no online service, electronic transmission, or AI system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Third-party AI providers may retain and process information for periods and purposes permitted under their applicable contractual arrangements, privacy policies, and legal obligations.

I may update my use of AI technologies and corresponding privacy disclosures as my business practices and available tools evolve.

LIMITATIONS.

I use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.

These measures may include access controls, authentication mechanisms, restricted administrative access, and security features provided by third-party service providers.

Certain digital tools are configured to restrict members' access to their own accounts, events, submitted information, and saved results.

For example, the Backstage Pass toolkit uses database-level access controls intended to prevent members from accessing other members' stored information. Sensitive service credentials are maintained in private server-side settings rather than being exposed in publicly accessible website code.

Despite these measures, no method of electronic transmission or data storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

If a security incident involving personal information occurs, I will evaluate the circumstances and take appropriate action, including providing notifications where required by applicable law.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit or exclude rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be waived.

POLICY CHANGES.

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in my business operations, products, Services, technology, service providers, or applicable legal requirements.

When I update this Policy, I will revise the “Last Updated” date at the beginning of the document.

Where changes are material or applicable law requires additional notice or consent, I will take appropriate steps to notify affected individuals or obtain consent before implementing the relevant processing activity.

I encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to remain informed about how I collect, use, and protect personal information.
